The RainWise MKIIIRTN-LR sensor array combines all outside sensor components into a single compact unit that's easy to install. This model includes all of the sensor components found on the MKIIIRTI-LR, except for the rain gauge. If rainfall measurements are not of interest to you, and your application requires a long distance between sensors and receivers, the MKIIIRTN-LR is a perfect solution. With a transmission range of over one mile line of sight, this sensor array is a great choice for applications where remote conditions must be monitored from a long distance.

The wireless, rugged outdoor sensor array runs completely on solar power. The MKIII solar charged battery supply is guaranteed to provide continuous operation below 60 degrees latitude and will operate for at least 60 days without sun.

Unless you're purchasing the unit as a replacement, the MKIIIRTN-LR sensor array requires a RainWise Long Range Display and/or the optional Computer/Network Interface. The sensor array can broadcast weather data to multiple displays, computers or network interfaces. The sensor array transmits a packet of data every two seconds.

Note: We do carry magnetic compasses to help you orient your anemometer to true north. Those can be located under the "Accessories" tab. For more information on set up, please visit the anemometer page on our WeatherShack education center.

5 stars Can't Review
Unfortunately my MK-III came with a damaged antenna (broken off) and I therefore can't install it. Outstanding customer service!! The broken part was shipped overnight mail and installed on my RainWise and everything works perfecfly.

5 stars Replacement sensor unit, works perfectly
Over time I had obtained a MK-III Rainwise station which was a veritable workhorse. The sending unit only required one battery replacement in the many years I had it, and with time I had 5 Oracle displays and one IP-100 interface for my system. Once the older unit's main board stopped working, I found the repair cost with shipping to and from Rainwise was too expensive, so I let the station sit idle. I dearly missed, as did the family, the total information display with LED numbers which could very easily be read across the room. I started looking at new stations, and found WeatherShack offered a replacement unit, which was discounted from list price, and to sweeten the deal, at the time they were offering free shipping. I ordered, they shippped, it arrived in great shape during the Christmas Holiday season with shippers being very busy, and literally within 5 minutes of opening the box, my station was back! Excellent service response from them with a couple questions I had before purchase. I can highly recommend both the Rainwise and WeatherShack.

4 stars This Updates A Product I Owned Decades Ago
Not much negative to say about this, because there's no damping device on the anemometer it tends to swing wildly when the wind is varying. I solved the problem by applying a piece of thin rubber lightly to the base of the anemometer, which moves but not in circles. Also, direct sunlight effects the temperature by a few degrees. I had parts of an old shelter which I put around the sensor and that seems to have solved the problem. No problems with transmission or temperature accuracy, all seems spot-on.
